Background and experience
Laura works with individuals from a multiplicity of backgrounds with an emphasis on inclusion and diversity. Other experience includes working with a progressive charity alongside the health and care system and running a pilot programme focussed on neurodiversity for the NHS England Improvement Team (London Trusts).
Prior to relocating to the UK, Laura lived within the Asia Pacific region and before becoming a psychotherapist she worked within cultural and business management sectors. Laura believes that all her past experiences have helped her become more attuned to various challenges and difficulties in life, and that in turn these have fostered a deeper understanding of clients from a variety of backgrounds.
Laura is working towards a clinical fellowship with The Neuropsychoanalysis Association and continues her training in:
Adaptation, Attachment and Neurodevelopment with The Tavistock and Portman
A BPS recognised qualification in psychometric and psychological testing (Occupational and Forensic contexts).
Laura provides a non-judgemental, confidential environment and skilled understanding from several listening perspectives. Her approach to psychotherapy is integrative and experience is working with a broad range of concerns including - but not limited to - the following:
trauma-related concerns;
relationship challenges;
confidence and self esteem;
sexuality;
gender;
neurodiversity; and
generational transmission of relational patterns.
